《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.” (1Th 4:7)
Meditation one: What is the purpose of God calling us from this murky world? He wants us to stay away from filth and be holy, because this is His will. God is holy, and we must be holy in all of our conduct. Be holy like the Lord is what a Christian wants to pursue for the entire life time. This is the most powerful testimony of Christians been sanctified in this world.
Meditation two: How do we live a holy life in a world filled with licentiousness and immorality? A passive aspect is not to be tainted, to abstain from sexual immorality (premarital, extramarital affairs, homosexuality, same-sex marriage), and not to accost (contact) any sensual temptation. On the proactive side, we must live out the holiness and beauty of God by following the guidance of the Holy Spirit and let the Holy Spirit to fill, enlighten, and rule us.
Prayer: Dear Abba Father, thank You for what You have accomplished in Christ. Now our bodies are members of Christ Himself, temples of the Holy Spirit, and bought at a heavy price (1Co 6:19-20). I would like to offer my body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You (Rom 12:1). Please help me to live a holy life in Your light all the time. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen!
