《Thanksgiving Season Meditation》:  “Now, who is willing to consecrate themselves to the Lord today?” (1Ch 29:5b)

Meditation one: What is the attitude of Christians towards the offering of money? First of all we recognize that we are not the owners of the money, but God is the master. We are just His stewards of money, and we just put what originally belonged to God to the place where He wants to use it. In fact, not only money, but all of our breath of life, wisdom, ability, work, family, time, and energy come from God. We offer everything with a heart of gratitude to glorify the Name of the Lord.

Meditation two: Is it a struggle for you to offer money? How to overcome this emotional obstacle? Before offering money, first consecrate yourself as a living sacrifice to God according to God’s will, and then other offerings, including money, will be able to set forth willingly of your own accord. This is what Paul said: “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” (Rom 12: 1)

Prayer: God my Father, who am I that You are mindful of me? For this reason, “I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.” (Psa 57: 9-10) Help me and give me a willing heart to be used by You at anytime, anywhere. I am confident of Your promise that “It is more blessed to give than to receive!” (Act 20:35). I prayer is in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
