Pastor Shen and Pastor Tom,

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Php 3:13-14)
Meditation one: What is your life’s goal for the year of 2020? Are you sure? The goal of Christians’ lives is Christ. We seek to know the Lord in the same way as athletes press on toward the goal of the triumph. Regardless of our failures or successes in the past, let us continue to press on toward being more like Jesus. We are not press on toward the reward in this world, but toward the prize of eternity, that is, to enjoy God’s presence forever.
Meditation two: How do you press on toward a goal? First of all,” forgetting what is behind”, then rely on Christ to put down all past successes, failures, gains and losses, and also to clear all the obstacles on the path, including stumbling blocks and hidden trash in your life. Then, “straining toward what is ahead” which is the obedience and the deeds according to Christ. Those who trust in the Lord can only follow the Lord. No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God (Luk 9:62).
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your grace overflows with abundance in 2019. As for the year to come, I will continue to take the goal You set for me as my benchmark in my life, and strain to know You until You are formed in me and let others see Your glory through me. I pray in the precious name of the Lord Jesus, Amen!
