《今日靈修默想》：「鹽本是好的，鹽若失了味，可用什麼叫它再鹹呢？或用在田裡，或堆在糞裡，都不合式，只好丟在外面。有耳可聽的，就應當聽！」（路14:34-35）
默想一：基督徒在世上的功用是什麼？好像鹽一樣，一方面能調味，使人和睦；另一方面是能防腐，防止罪惡。但先決條件是，鹽必須先溶解才能發揮作用。基督徒也必須先燃燒自己，才能照亮別人。
默想二：什麼時候基督徒可能會「失了味」？就是當你與世界同流合污、效法世界、隨波逐流、追趕潮流。反省一下，你最近的生活有見證嗎？使別人在你身上看見耶穌嗎？及時地悔改，求神憐憫。
禱告：天父上帝，感謝祢所賜的使命。求祢幫助我不僅有「鹽」的存在，更要有「鹹」的功用。求祢使用我，無論到哪裡，我願活出祢的形像，發出基督的馨香之氣，讓周圍的人就近祢、認識祢，進而跟隨祢、見證祢。奉主耶穌的名禱告。阿們！
《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.” (Luk 14:34-35)
Meditation one: What is the function of Christians in this world? Christians are just like salt, on one hand as seasoning to be peacemakers, on the other hand function as a preservative to counteract sin. A pre-requirement is that salt must first be dissolved in order to be functional. Christians must also burn themselves first in order to enlighten others.
Meditation two: When can a Christian “lose its saltiness”? It is when you compromise with the world, conform to this world, follow the worldly waves, and chase the surge. Introspect yourself whether you have lived out a good testimony in recent days. Have you let people see Jesus through you? This is the time to repent. May God have mercy. Prayer: God our Heavenly Father, thank You for the mission You grant to me. Please help me not only be a “salt”, but also possess the function of “saltiness”. Use me, no matter where I go, to live out Your image and be the pleasing aroma of Christ. So the people around me like to come closer to You, to know You, to follow You, to praise You, and to witness You. I pray in the name of Lord Jesus. Amen!
