《今日靈修默想》：「不要只在眼前事奉，像是討人喜歡的，要像基督的僕人，從心裏遵行神的旨意。 甘心事奉，好像服事主，不像服事人。」（弗 6:6-7 ）
默想一：基督徒在教會服事與在社會工作有何區別？工作性質不同，但做事的心態一樣。基督徒無論在哪裡或做哪一行業，我們都是屬基督的人，也都是基督的見證人。我們要存著像服事基督的心—在工作上、生活上、事奉上、人際關係上，都是為了神的榮耀，凡事都只討神的喜悅。
默想二：如何讓人看出你是「基督的僕人」？看你是否在凡事上樂意遵行神的旨意—看神所看，愛神所愛，想神所想，做神所做。若你的服事只是討人喜歡，求人的稱讚，得人的心，那你只是一個看人情面的僕人，不是基督的僕人（加1:10）。一個忙於取悅別人的人，他們的心充滿壓力和焦慮，服事神得不著釋放和喜樂。
禱告：親愛的主，感謝祢作我們事奉的榜樣。因『袮來，並不是要受人的服事，乃是要服事人，並且要捨命作多人的贖價』（可10:45）。求祢幫助我效法祢的謙卑、虛己、柔和、順服。我願在一切所行的事上都以祢的心為心，體貼祢的心意，一生作討祢喜悅的事。奉主耶穌的名禱告。阿們！
《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.” (Eph 6:6-7)
Meditation one: What is the difference between Christians’ serving in the church and working in the world? The nature of work is different, but the mentality of doing things is the same. Regardless where Christians are or in which profession, we are all Christ’s people and witnesses of Christ. We must have the heart of Christ to serve – in work, in life, in ministry, in interpersonal relationship, for the glory of God. In all things we want to please God.
Meditation two: How can people find out that you are a “servant of Christ”? It depends on whether you are willing to do God’s will in all things – to see what God sees, to love what God loves, to think what God thinks, and to do what God does. If your ministry is only to please people, to receive applause from people, and to win people’s hearts, then you are not servant of Christ but a person who simply try to win the approval of people (Gal 1:10). A person who is busy to please other people will have a heart full of stress and anxiety, and cannot be released and joyful when serving God.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for being an example of my ministry. For “even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mar 10:45). Please help me to imitate Your humbleness, to empty myself, to be meek, and to obey. I would like to do everything with a heart of Your heart, to live according to Your will, and through my life time, all things I do are to please You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen!
