《Today’s spiritual meditation》:  “We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.” (Jas 3:2)

Meditation one: Why can’t Christians overlook their tongues? It is because the tongue is a key that dominates our lives and also links to our lives. When a person can bridle the tongue, and then can keep the whole body in check. Only by obeying the guidance of the Holy Spirit can we control the tongue that is easy to sin, and then can also control other parts. Controlling the tongue is not only a testimony of spiritual maturity; it is also a way towards maturity. Those who really have the life of Christ will naturally utter praises and speak words of edification.

Meditation two: Why should all curses or despites be strictly prohibited in the church? Because when you curse brothers and sisters, you do not love those who are created by God and bear the image of God, which is equivalent to curse God. Any presumptuous speech in the church means not magnify Jesus Christ as the head, and are not in a way worthy of the saints. Our God is holy, and we must live out the the holiness, including the words we speak out.

Prayer: God Abba Father, thank You for giving me a mouth, Please use my mouth so  “not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” (Eph 4 :29). I admit that the tongue is difficult to tame, but I believe that “I can do all this through Him Who gives me strength” (Phi 4:13). May the thoughts in my heart and every word in my mouth, under the anointing of Your Holy Spirit, edify people and glorify Your name. I pray in the precious holy name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
