《今日靈修默想》：「你們蒙召原是為此；因基督也為你們受過苦，給你們留下榜樣，叫你們跟隨他的腳蹤行。」（彼前2:21）
默想一: 你有沒有發現，你一旦真心跟隨主，苦難就接踵而來，禍不單行？你會後悔嗎？十字架的窄路從來就不是康莊大道，一帆風順，而是崎嶇難行，充滿挑戰。我們的主並沒有犯罪，卻為我們的過犯受害，為我們的罪孽壓傷。但感謝神，「因祂受的刑罰，我們得平安；因祂受的鞭傷，我們得醫治」（賽53:5）。祂給我們留下美好的榜樣，讓我們效法祂並堅定腳步跟隨祂。
默想二：基督徒連活出善行也受苦嗎？這沒有什麼大驚小怪。世人因不認識主耶穌，就會與我們劃清界限，處處與我們作對，設法毀謗我們。但我們大可放心，就如使徒彼得說：「親愛的弟兄啊，有火煉的試驗臨到你們，不要以為奇怪，倒要歡喜；因為你們是與基督一同受苦，使你們在祂榮耀顯現的時候，也可以歡喜快樂」（彼前4:12-13）。是的，基督徒的苦難往往是神化裝的祝福。神給我們十字架，但十字架給我們榮耀。
禱告：感謝天父上帝，因著袮的選召，我成了袮的兒女。在世上有苦難，但我不會懼怕，因為我知道袮已經勝過了世界。求袮堅固我，讓我勇敢地、單單地跟隨袮的腳縱行，永不回頭，直到走完人生路。奉主耶穌的名禱告。阿們！
《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.” (1Pe 2:21 )
Meditation one: Have you ever found that once you truly follow the Lord, suffering will follow, and disaster will chase around one after another? Do you regret? The narrow path of the cross has never been an easy journey, or a smooth voyage, but rugged passages full of challenges. Our Lord has not sinned, but He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; But thank God, “the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isa 53:5). He leaves us a beautiful example, let us imitate Him and follow Him firmly.
Meditation two: Do Christians suffer even if they live out good deeds? There is nothing surprise about this. Because the world does not know Jesus Christ, they will then segregate us, dispute against us in many things and try to slander us. But we can rest assured, as the apostle Peter said: “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed” (1Pe 4:12 -13). It is true that a Christian’s suffering is often a God’s blessing in disguise. God loads the cross upon us, but the cross gives us His glory.
Prayer: Thank God heavenly Father, because of Your calling, I become Your child. There are sufferings in this world, but I will not be afraid because I know that You have overcome the world. Please strengthen me, let me bravely follow in Your steps only and never look back until the end of my journey in this world. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
