Bible Reading: Mark 14.
Insight: “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Mar 14:38)
Insight one: Do you often experience “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak” in the course of your faith? How many times I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. How to conquer the work of Satan? Thank the Lord. He knows your and my struggles and powerlessness because He was in flesh before and also faced the problems that you and I have been facing. What is the weapon of victory? It is to watch and pray, continuously pray, not give up praying.
Insight two: Why did Satan frantically try to destroy, terrorize, and deceive people? That is because it knows that Christ will come again and there were not too many days left. It is just like the insanity before the death. But Christians need not to be panic. The Lord Jesus has promised, “Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them” (Heb 7:25). He is with us always even unto the end of the age.
Prayer: Thank Heavenly Father, for Your loving kindness endures forever. I have to admit and ask for Your forgiveness that I have been often weak and fall, can’t conquer my temper, my personality, habits, and unpleasant behaviors. May You help me, and I will keep my daily fellowship with You to mold my spiritual life through spiritual Insight. Lord, I also want to do my part to always pray for my children, family, fellowship, church, country, and those in power. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen!
