Meditation one: How could it be possible that “Jesus\nwept”? How is His weeping different from people\u2019s weep for the death of\nfriends and family members? He was not helplessly weeping over the death, nor\nwas it because of sympathy, nor because of His weakness. His weeping was for\nthe darkness, fear, death, and despair brought up by people\u2019s sins, yet people\ndid not repent or come to the Lord. It is obvious how anxious His heart\nwas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meditation two: What does “Jesus wept” mean? It shows that God understands the anguishes deep inside\npeople\u2019s hearts and comprehends the sufferings of us. He would have all people to be saved, not wishing any should perish. He\nsent His only begotten son Jesus as a scapegoat for the salvation of our sins.\nHis sacrifice is the proof of His love, and that is also the purpose of the\nbirth of Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prayer: Abba Father,\nthank You for your great love. God shows His love for us in that while we were\nstill sinners,\nChrist died for us. Through Him let us\nhave a new life and reconcile to God. Help me not only let me “live by the\nSpirit, but also keep in step with the Spirit.\u201d (Gal 5:25).
