Meditation one: Why should Christians be holy in all they do? It is because our God heavenly Father is a holy God. When we were still ignorant, we indulged our desires. We were self-centered in all we did, and set rules per our own standards. Now we are saved through grace, all things are centered on God. His standard is to make us holy like Him. A holy life is not our choice, but His command, and the will that He has set for us (1Th 4:3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meditation two: Since God wants us to be holy, then how can we live a holy life? On the passive side, we must lay aside all filth so can be free from the bondage of sin. On the proactive side, we must live sanctified lives among the people. We must let others see that we belong to Christ through our daily lives, words, deeds, and attitudes. We cannot rely on ourselves to become holy; rather, God has given us the Holy Spirit to be our help and victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for sanctifying me out of this world. Your purpose is to want me to be holy like You. Without sanctification, no one will see the Lord.
