Meditation one: What is the essential foundation for Christians to love one another? It is in the Lord Jesus Christ because He is the source of truth. Loving one another is not because of sharing a similar personality, a like mindedness, or favors each other, but “because of the truth”. The truth “lives in us” and “will be with us forever\u201d. If Christians only have love but no truth, it is an absentminded love; Holds truth straightly but has no love, it is a merciless love. Therefore Christians\u2019 love must be rooted onto truth and also focus upon Christ when we love one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meditation two: How should our love grow in the truth? It is essential to work diligently towards the truth since the Word of God is the truth (Joh 17:17), and the Holy Spirit is also the truth (Joh 16:13). What we have firmly believed is the truth, not dogma. Dogma is dead letters while truth is a living spirit. Dogma halts in one\u2019s head, anyone can talk about it, while the truth lives in the heart of those who believe in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for giving us the truth of love. You are love and the truth. Please give me wisdom, and let me love others in Your truth.
