《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph 2:10)
Meditation one: Is there any difference between God’s demand for “faith” and “good works”? God only asks “faith”, not good works, for those who have not yet been saved. But for those who have been saved, God wants them to do “good works”. Doing good works is not a covenant for our salvation, but an outcome through our salvation. We do good works not for the sake of being saved, but because we have been saved. Christians do good works do not need to be persuaded but naturally reveal the life of Christ.
Meditation two: What is the good works that God wants those been saved to do? It is to do “the good works that God is prepared in advance for us to do. The “good works” is by no means the good deeds per human morality, but the goodness in God’s will. It is our responsibility to seek His will and then live out, manifest, and witness His good will.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your wonderful work on me. No matter what I do, please watch my intention, motivation, purpose, and remove all the thoughts that You are not pleased. Since I am the work of You, I would like to do everything that You see as good in order to glorify You. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
