Meditation one: Does the\nLord Jesus want us not to make money to become wealthy? No. Does He really want\nevery believer to sell everything one possesses? This is not true either.\nSalvation cannot be earned by selling one\u2019s possessions, and good deeds cannot\nexchange for eternal life. The most pitiful person is to become rich in front\nof man but remains poor in front of God. Let us not allow money to become a\nstumbling block to keep us from entering into the kingdom of heaven – obstructing\nus from loving the Lord, hindering from following the Lord, affecting our\nservices, and damaging relationships with God, people, and families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meditation two: Why\ndoes the Lord want the wealthy young man to sell all his possessions and give\nto the poor? Because that is a meaningful manifestation of “love your\nneighbor as yourself”. Why does Jesus the Lord want him further to\n“follow the Lord”? This is because that is the most explicit action\nto love the Lord. If the Lord Jesus calls you today, “Follow me!”\nWould you gladly respond to the Lord? Or you just like that young man, for the\nsake of loving the world, “sorrowfully” walk to the endless regret\nfor life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prayer:\nThank God for giving the eternal life in Christ. Please solidify my\ndetermination to follow the narrow path of the cross. The road is rugged and\ndifficult, with many obstacles and full of challenges, but I have decided that\neven if no one walks with me, I still want to follow You. Because of Your love,\nI have determined to put the cross in front of me, the world behind me, and\nnever turn back.
