Meditation one: Do you still remember how you believed in the Lord? How do you become what you are today in God’s eyes? Is it by your self-cultivation, or talents, or exertion, or many good deeds? No, it is only by relying on God’s grace in Christ. So there’s nothing to boast about being a Christian. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meditation two: Today, you are able to serve the Lord, if not because of the grace of God, and then what else can that be? Very likely because you serve the Lord, you may bear far greater labors, or even be misunderstood, be laid a snare, or hounded. Yet remember that these are also God’s grace. It is because that you are not working for yourself, but you are the work of God. He is with you, works and walks with you. Your serving is blessed since you are partaking God’s eternal work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
