《Year-end spiritual meditation 3》:  “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.” (Psa 65:11)

Meditation one: Why be a child of God is such an honorable status? It is because God puts abundant goodness like crowns on our heads, which signifies our identity, value, standing, and honor. And this is the goodness that we can experience every single day, every single month, and every single year. God’s goodness is not for us to live in a greenhouse, but for us to live a victorious life by the power of God. Because of God’s goodness, we “will be filled with joy in God’s presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand” (Psa 16:11).

Meditation two: What is God’s greatest grace? It is the grace of salvation that He gave His only beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. This grace is at no charge, is free, and unrequited. We do not deserve it and it is a benefit, a gift. God’s grace is not fulfilled by receiving a lot, yet is contented by experiencing His beauty. Although we have walked through the narrow path of the cross, the cross will not be heavier than the grace of the Lord, and the storm will not conceal His glorious face. The grace of the Lord is still great in suffering, and it is absolutely sufficient for us.

Prayer: God Almighty Father, thank You for Your guidance in 2020. From the beginning of the year to the end of the year, Your mighty arm never retracts, Your eyes never slumber, and Your love never changes. Forwarding toward year 2021 is an unknown journey, but I know who is in charge of tomorrow. Please help me. I would like to set my mind in the year to come: to love You more deeply, to know You more truly, to serve You more faithfully, to grow more spiritually, and to meditate more firmly. I also ask Your Holy Spirit to fill me, and I am willing to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit to live a victorious life. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
