Insight:\u00a0\u00a0\u201cJesus wept\u201d (Joh 11:35)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insight one: How could it be possible that “Jesus wept”? How is His weeping different from people\u2019s weep for the death of friends and family members? He was not helplessly weeping over the death, nor was it because of sympathy, nor because of His weakness. His weeping was for the darkness, fear, death, and despair brought up by people\u2019s sins, yet people did not repent or come to the Lord. It is obvious how anxious His heart was.      <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insight two: What does “Jesus wept” mean? It shows that God understands the anguishes deep inside people\u2019s hearts and comprehends the sufferings of us. He would have all people to be saved, not wishing any should perish. He sent His only begotten son Jesus as a scapegoat for the salvation of our sins. His sacrifice is the proof of His love, and that is also the purpose of the birth of Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for your great love. God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners,Christ died for us. Through Him let us have a new life and reconcile to God. Help me not only let me “live by the Spirit, but also keep in step with the Spirit.\u201d (Gal 5:25). I am willing to be guided by the Holy Spirit in all things, and to respond to the love of the Lord through living out a holy life. I pray in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ.
