《今日靈修默想》：「這世界和其上的情慾都要過去，惟獨遵行神旨意的，是永遠常存。」（約一2:17）
默想一：你在世上尋找的是什麼？找到了嗎？小心上當！這世界沒有永遠的價值。我們空空的來，又空空的去，什麼都帶不走。我們不要顧念那些世上看得見的東西，「因為所見的是暫時的，所不見的是永遠的。」（林後4:18）。讓我們做一個有智慧、有遠見的人，追求那永恆價值的東西。
默想二：基督徒對世界當持什麼態度？不是逃離，而是面對；我們是住在它「裡面」，但不「屬於」它。我們被主「差到世界」上，但我們靠主的大能「勝過世界」來的誘惑。我們的責任是要影響世界，而不被世界影響，因我們是屬於神得勝的子民。
禱告：感謝神，因袮的慈愛永遠常存。當人在尋求「肉體的情慾，眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲」時，求袮成為我的力量，敢於跟世界不同。讓我的一生單單地愛慕祢，我願以祢的旨意為我的人生目標。奉耶穌得勝的名禱告，阿們!
《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1Jh 2:17)
Meditation one: What are you pursuing after in this world? Have you found it? Be careful! This world has no eternal value. Empty-handed as we arrived then empty-handed when we leave, there is nothing that we can take with us. Let us fix our eyes not on what is seen. “Because what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2Co 4:18) Let us be a wise and visionary person and pursue what is eternal.
Meditation two: What attitude should a Christian have towards this world? It is not to escape, but to face. We live “in” this world but not “belong” to it. For the worldly temptations, we “overcomes the world” in the power of the Lord. Our responsibility is to overcome the world but not be influenced by the world, because we are the victorious people who belong to God.
Prayer: Thank God, because Your kindness lives forever. When people are seeking for “the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life”, please be my strength and dare to be different from the world. Throughout my lifetime, let me love You only and I will take Your will as my life’s purpose. I pray in the victorious name of Jesus, Amen!
