《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits” (Psa 103:2)
Meditation one: Thanksgiving is coming; do you have anything to be thankful for? An ordinary person’s gratitude depends upon how much one has earned this year? What type of tasks one has accomplished? How abundant one has accumulated? How far one has been promoted? How plentiful the spare is? But the Christian gratitude is founded on a never ever change fact, which is the salvation of Jesus Christ. This is because that without His blood on the cross, our sins are not possible to be forgiven, and the purpose, meaning, direction, and value of our lives cannot be understood either.
Meditation two: Why do Christians must remember all the good things God has done? It is because that only by remembering, one can be grateful. How can we not forget the Lord’s blessings? It is necessary to count the Lord’s blessings before God. When you count the Lord’s blessings, you will be amazed to find that the more you are grateful, the more blessings you have, and count them until you surprisingly rejoice, astound and shout out. A thankful heart is a choice as well as a decision. When we decide to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, you will find that the state of mind changes and the circumstance changes as well.
Prayer: God heavenly Father, I thank You because “by the grace of God I am what I am”. (1Co 15:10a) You have given me all the goodness in Jesus Christ. Please help me to live a life of gratefulness, not a life of grumble; know how to count the Lord’s blessings, not be neglectful or forgetful. Lord, I am willing to give my heart to You to use it. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
