讀經：彼得後書第一章。
默想：「所以弟兄們，應當更加殷勤，使你們所蒙的恩召和揀選堅定不移。你們若行這幾樣（美好的靈性與德性），就永不失腳。」（彼後1:10）
默想一：既然神的恩召和揀選臨到了我，而且永不改變，那我因此安於作信徒了嗎？不行的，信徒有責任藉著靈命長進和好行為證明呼召與揀選的真實。基督徒必須作成得救的工夫，積極地表現出神在我們身上的奇妙作為。
默想二：你受洗多久了？你的生命比以前更長進嗎？你的生活比以前更豐盛嗎？你的人際關係比以前更和諧嗎？你的服事比以前更有果效嗎？只有當我們活出的行為與蒙召的恩相稱，才能永不失腳。
禱告：感謝神，因袮用自己的榮耀和美德呼召我們。求祢的聖靈光照我，讓我在祢的呼召與揀選下，我看到自己在各樣的德行上要「更加殷勤」的責任。求袮扶持我，我會堅定不移地信靠祢，勇於追求上進，直到走完祢命定的旅程。奉祢的聖名禱告，阿們！
Bible Reading: 2 Peter 1.
Insight: “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things (beautiful spirit and good deeds), you will never stumble.” (2Pe 1:10)
Insight one: Since God’s calling and election have come to me and will never change, and then am I simply settled as a believer? No, believers have the responsibility to prove the truth of calling and election through spiritual growth and good deeds. Christians must work out their own salvation and actively demonstrate God’s wonderful works in us.
Insight two: How long have you been baptized? Has your life ever progressed? Has your life become more abundant than before? Has your interpersonal relationship been more harmonious than before? Has your service been more effective than before? Only when the behavior we live with is worthily of the grace of the calling, we will never stumble.
Prayer: Thank God for calling us through Your glory and excellences. May Your Holy Spirit shine on me. Through Your calling and election, let me see that I am obligated to “make every effort” in all virtues. Help me and hold me up, I will trust in You firmly and be brave to press upwardly, until I have finished my journey established by You. I pray in Your holy name, Amen!
