The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised<\/strong>.\u201d (Job 1:21)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meditation one: Job lost his children and wealth within a day and was seriously ill<\/strong>, but <strong>how could <\/strong>he still praise God in the midst of extreme sorrow? Because he saw God&#8217;s loving hand behind every misfortune, he was convinced that what happened was not by chance, but in the arrangement of God&#8217;s wisdom. As natural and man-made disasters are permitted by God, people should not only submit to God\u2019s sovereignty, but also seek answers from God.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meditation two: Can you testify for God: &#8220;The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away&#8221;<\/strong>? In fact, the true state of our spirits can only be revealed when God takes back the possessions, family, and career we love. Do you believe in the &#8220;eternal life&#8221; that God has promised (John 3:16)? Are you sure about the &#8220;heavenly inheritance&#8221; (1 Peter 1:4) given by God? Are you convinced that all you have is from God?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer: God Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your great love, Your love is more than I can comprehend. You did not forsake me when I was in pain and despair. The Comforter of the Holy Spirit, whom You have sent, has been my ever-present help, comfort, and strength Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your unfailing love strengthens my faith. I want to raise my voice to praise You.
