Bible Reading: John 16.
Insight: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (Joh 16:33)
Insight one: In the face of this raging virus, it has become the catastrophe of the century. Even today, people are still helpless about it. Although Christians cannot get away from this suffering, we have the peace that the world does not have. This peace is personally given to all who trust in Him through the power of Jesus Christ’s salvation and resurrection on the cross. After the resurrection of the Lord Jesus from the dead, he has interceded for us on the right side of God the Father. He knows our situation. He will protect us as the apple of the eye. (Psa 17: 8).
Insight two: How long will the epidemic last? No one is absolute certain, and no one even knows about tomorrow. In fact, the Bible tells us that before Christ coming again, Satan knew that it doesn’t have much time left. It would be like a struggle before death to crazily cause uneasiness. But we truly trust the Lord who rules everything, He has declared: “Take heart! I have overcome the world “. How much you trust in the Lord, then how much you can rest assured.
Prayer: Heavenly Father of Love, thank You for Your promise. You said, “I will not leave you as orphans.” (Joh 14:18). Please strengthen my faith, let my spiritual life and daily life build on Your promises, only follow You closely, and be loyal to Your trust, until the very end of the heavenly pathway. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen!
