讀經：馬太福音第四章。
默想：耶穌說：「撒但（魔鬼）退去吧！因為經上記著說：「當拜主你的神，單要侍奉（敬拜）祂。」（太4:10）
默想一：基督徒可以憑自己單槍匹馬勝過魔鬼嗎？不可能！魔鬼只要以萬國的榮華富貴當誘餌，就能輕易地騙得人心，使人崇仰牠，並跟牠一樣抵擋神。我們只要信靠神，主動地親近神，藉著禱告和讀神的話。神的話是聖靈的寶劍，是致勝魔鬼的利器。
默想二：基督徒如何在各行各業作到「單單地侍奉主」？就是在你一切所行的事上都是為主的榮耀而不是為自己的榮耀。神安排了工作，就是要讓你盡上基督徒的本分，單單地為主而活，也單單地事奉主。基督徒絕不能又事奉神，又事奉瑪門［財利］（太6:24）。
禱告：親愛的主，感謝祢賜給我得勝撒但的確據。求祢幫助我，在每天面臨抉擇於愛神與愛世界、事奉神與事奉世界、討神喜歡與討世界喜歡時，讓我勇敢地對世界說「NO！」，而對神說「YES！」。奉主耶穌的尊名禱告。阿們！
Bible Reading: Matthew 4.
Insight: Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’” (Mat 4:10)
Insight one: Can a Christian defeat the devil all alone? It is not possible! As long as the devil takes the splendor and wealth of all the kingdoms of the world as the bait, it can easily deceive people, make people admire it, and resist God just like itself. We simply have to trust God, take the initiative to be near to God, and pray and read God’s Word. The Word of God is the sword of the Holy Spirit and the weapon to stand againsta the devil.
Insight two: How can Christians “serve the Lord only” in all different fields of occupations? It is to glorify the Lord in all things you do, and not to glorify yourself. The purpose that God provided the occupation for you is to let you do your part as a Christian, to live for the Lord only, and to serve the Lord only. Christians cannot serve both God and Mammon (money) (Mat 6:24).
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for giving me the assurance of victory over Satan. Please help me every day when I face the choice between loving God and loving the world, serving God and serving the world, pleasing God and pleasing the world, let me bravely tell the world “NO!” and say to God “YES! “. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
