《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”” (John 20:19)
Meditation one: What does people need most in this world? It is peace! Poor people do not have peace because of poverty; wealthy people do not have peace because of too much money. High rank people do not have peace because of worrying about losing the positions; Healthy people do not have peace because of disturbing by aging; and people with extra time do not have peace because of bothering by lack of opportunities. People are always living in uneasiness, but thanks to Jesus Christ, Who was resurrected from death and said to us: “Peace be with you!”
Meditation two: What is the peace that the Lord Jesus gave to us? When the Lord Jesus was nail to death on the cross for the sins of the world, the disciples were afraid that the Jews would chase after the people who believed in the Lord and therefor shut the door tightly. At this moment, Jesus did not knock on the door, and even stood among them and greeted them with “Peace”. The power of His resurrection gave Him the ability to go through the walls and beyond what time can constrain. If Jesus did not resurrect, we would still live in fear, and if Jesus did not resurrect, we would live in despair.
Prayer: God heavenly Father, thank You, because of the resurrection of Christ and Your presence, I no longer fear, panic, or worry. I can experience the true peace even in the presence of fear, sorrow, and uneasiness. Help me and let me be the messenger of You in this world, and pour out reconciliation, harmony, and peace among people everywhere. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
