《今日靈修默想》：「但我們要專心以祈禱傳道為事。」（徒6:4）
默想一：今天教會在世上為什麼起不了作用？對世界無任何影響力？因為我們教會的焦點放錯了，我們忽略了祈禱的能力和傳道的責任。祈禱乃是傳道能力之源頭，因此所有服事主的人都應將祈禱放在事工的首位。我們必須專心地、不斷地、恆切地禱告，我們的服事才會有能力及果效。
默想二：只有傳道人才能傳福音嗎？不是！而是所有蒙恩得救的人。傳福音很重要，但絕不能忽略禱告。有禱告的傳道（服事）就有能力；少禱告的傳道是很吃力；不禱告的任何福音事工是註定失敗。我們不責怪別人不禱告，我們省察自己，為教會做多少，為教會禱告多少。
禱告：感謝天父，藉著耶穌的寶血救贖了我，使我歸入生命的共同體，就是祢的教會。祢已經把教會託付我們，讓我在教會裡不是求「福分」，而是盡上我的「本分」。奉耶穌基督的名禱告，阿們！
《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” (Act 6:4)
Meditation one: Why a Church does not function effectively in today’s world? Why there is no influence over the world? The reason is that the focus of the church is misplaced. We overlooked the power of praying and the responsibility of the ministry of the Word. Prayer is the source of the power of ministry. Therefore all who serve the Lord should put prayer at the top of the ministry. We must intently, constantly, and continuing instant in prayer so our ministry can have power and effectiveness.
Meditation two: Is it true that only the preacher can preach the gospel? It is not! It belongs to all those who are saved. Evangelism is important, but prayer must not be overlooked. Evangelism (ministry) with prayer will have power; a ministry without much prayer will be a struggling; and any ministry with no prayer is doomed to failure. We do not blame others for not praying, we examine ourselves, how much we do for the church, and how much we pray for the church.
Prayer: Thank our Heavenly Father for redeeming me through the blood of Jesus, and placing me in the unified body of life, which is Your church. You have committed onto us the church, so that I do not seek “blessings” in the church, but fulfill my “responsibility”. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
