《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” (Rev 6:17)
Meditation one: Since the Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love (Psa 103:8), then how will the great day of His wrath ever come? Indeed, God’s love contains the riches of His kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead us to repentance. (Rom 2:4) But if one despises His kindness, and take one’s stubbornness and unrepentant heart, deliberately refuses to know God, God’s wrath will come to reveal that He is a righteous and holy God. The first time the Lord Jesus came to the world was for love, but His second coming will be for judgment. (Romans 2:5) If we belong to Christ, then there is no need to fear in the last days.
Meditation two: Who can withstand the last judgment of God, which is the great day of His wrath? Do not assume that there are still many opportunities and time. No one knows when God’s judgment will come. Jesus said, “The Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.” (Luk 12:40) How to face the judgement of God’s righteousness? Hurry and repent and return to God, follow the will of God, then you can withstand it.
Prayer: Oh God! Thank You and praise You! This is because Your life filled with all the glories. I will fall on the ground before You In the light of the Holy Spirit. Please forgive my self-righteousness, arrogance, and frivolity. Help me and redeem me from all iniquity, so that I can face Your glorious judgment and can stand before You. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen!
