《今日靈修默想》：「以色列啊！你要聽：耶和華我們神是獨一的主。你要盡心、盡性、盡力愛耶和華你的神。」（申6:4-5）
默想一：我們為何要聽從神這最大的誡命呢? 因為耶和華我們神是獨一的主。除祂以外, 並無別神。神命令以色列民要聽，是提醒他們莫忘神如何拯救他們出埃及，脫離奴隸的轄制，這都是神主動的愛。如今我們蒙恩，在世上仍有諸多挑戰，但我們的神仍然坐著為王、掌管萬有。祂對我們的愛永不改變，當我們懂得如何愛上帝，我們才能明白上帝愛我們有多深！
默想二：神要我們愛祂 「盡心、盡性、盡力」是什麼意思？就是要我們從裡到外, 毫無保留地用全心、全人以及我們所擁有的一切資源來愛神。神如此的要求未免太過份了吧? 其實不是, 因為神正是以這樣的愛來愛我們。祂愛我們到一個地步，甚至犧牲自己的愛子耶穌捨命在十字架上。愛神的，就會遵守祂的誡命；遵守神的誡命才是愛神的表現。
禱告：天父上帝，感謝你所賜的話語。求袮開通我心靈的耳朵，使我聽明袮的話語。求袮幫助我，我願打開心門，存敬畏的心，聽從並遵行袮的命令。我知道每時每刻要達到袮的要求「盡心、盡性、盡力」愛袮不容易，但我相信「靠著那加給我力量的，凡事都能做」（腓4:13）。奉主耶穌的名祈求，阿們！
《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” (Deu 6:4-5)
Meditation one: Why should we obey God’s greatest commandment? It is because Jehovah our God is the only Lord. There is no other god but Him. God command the people of Israel to listen is to remind them not to forget how God rescued them out of Egypt and set them free from slavery. This is God’s proactive love. Now we are given the grace while there are still many challenges in this world, yet our God still sits enthroned and rules over all. His love for us will never change. When we know how to love God, we can then understand how deeply God loves us!
Meditation two: What does it mean that God want us to love Him “with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength”? It is to ask us to love God thoroughly, no hesitation, with the whole heart, the whole body, and all the resources we have. Does God ask from us way too much? It is not too much at all since the way God loves us is just like this. He loves us to the point that He even sacrificed His beloved son Jesus to die on the cross. Those who love God will obey His commandments; keeping God’s commandments is a testimony of loving God.
Prayer: God heavenly Father, thank You for your words. Please open the ears of my soul, that I may hear your words. Help me, I am willing to open my heart, be in awe, listen and obey your commandments. I know that it is not easy to love You with “all my heart, all my soul, and all my strength” at all times, but I believe that “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” (Php 4:13). I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen!
