Bible Reading: Mark 12.
Insight: “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” (Mar 12:27)
Insight one: Allow me to ask, are you living or dead? How do Christians know that they are living? It is because that Jesus Christ who is in us is the Lord who rose from the dead. He said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die” (Joh 11: 25-26). Whoever lives in Him is living, which shows why He is the God of all mighty.
Insight two: If who we believe in is the living God, do we still have to worry about the future? He is the God who was, and is, and is to come. He is the God who dwells with us. We should cherish our limited life and actively live for the Lord. Let us not worry about tomorrow, for the living Lord is in charge of our tomorrows. The question is: do you really know the God who created you? How is your relationship with Him? Do you understand His love for you?
Prayer: God Heavenly Father, thank You. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I truly believe that the God who is with me is the God of the living. There are many hardships and panicking things in this world, but I am no longer afraid because You are with me at all times. Your eyes will never slumber; Your mighty arm is my protection. Help me, no matter what a situation can be, I will come near to You by reading the Bible and praying. I will serve You with a thankful heart and honor Your name in all things. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
