《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” (Mar 1:35)

Meditation one: How was your recent prayer life? Generally speaking, what are the three most common obstacles that prevented Christians from praying? They are busy and busy and busy! At that time Jesus was busy for the Kingdom of God, but He treasured the ministry and went to a solitary place to pray and talk to God. Through drawing near to God Heavenly Father, He renewed His strength. We are very limited; don’t we have more needs to be provided through prayers? Your busiest moment is the time you need to pray more. When you don’t feel like to pray, it is the point you do need to pray. Life without prayer, ministry cannot be fruitful. Therefore, do not expect God will do greater things for you without your praying.

Meditation two: What is the best defense which can lead us not falling into temptation and deliver us from the evil one? Pray with sober mind! Want to be victorious in a spiritual battle? Pray fervently! Prayer is not a “spare tire” which cries out only in the state of difficulties, but a “steeling wheel” that navigates us toward the right way. Remember; don’t touch the holy ministry without praying.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for setting an example for my prayers. Please give me wisdom and perseverance, so that I can cherish consistent prayer times with You. Lord, I am willing to be a person who watches and prays for families, fellowships, Churches, and countries. Pray in Your Holy Name, Amen!

Today’s spiritual meditation》: “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” (Mar 2:17)

Meditation one: Do you know yourself? A person who truly knows self will admit that he/she is the one who needs Lord’s salvation. A patient must admit that he/she is sick before looking for doctor’s treatment. An alcoholic must admit that he/she is an alcoholic before going to a rehabilitation center for help. In the same way, sinners must confess their sins or will not accept Lord’s salvation. Just as the prodigal son woke up after deteriorating in the sin. He said, ” I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.’” Thereupon he set out and went to his father (Luke 15:17-20).

Meditation two: Do you want to know what does God’s amazing grace mean? Let us first put down the pride of “healthy in my own eyes” and “self-righteousness”. We often prove how nice and how good we are by comparing against others. We may ever realize that God does not compare you against others but justify you by His own measures. God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. The sooner one realizes his/her limitation; the sooner one can drive away from the mind of pride. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost who admitted that their hearts were corrupt, lost, miserable, and desperate. When we come to the Lord Jesus with humble hearts, He will save you and give you peace.

Prayer: God Heavenly Father, I thank You for the salvation! A person like me who was sinful throughout was saved by You; I thank You for purifying all my sins and healing all my spiritual maladies. I thank You for your calling. I am so humiliated, yet I was chosen and used by You. Sustain me, and let me live a life worthy of the calling I have received. Pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mar 3:35)

Meditation one: Have you established a close spiritual relationship with the Lord Jesus? The state is that you must be willing to obey God’s Words and live in God’s will. Because Christians live in the Kingdom of God, with the help of the Holy Spirit, our spiritual relationship with our brothers and sisters in the Lord will naturally transcend the brief relationships among families and relatives. If Christians become apart from God, our spiritual fellowship with our brothers and sisters will turn into superficial and meaningless.

Meditation two: How have you been with your brothers and sisters lately? How do you treat the people in God’s family in the present days of fading apathy? Do we become colder or warmer or distant or closer? Jesus views all those who obey God’s will as His families. What have you done for the least of the brothers? If Jesus even washed the feet of the person who betrayed Him, are we still biased against the people of the House of God? We love, because God first loved us.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for the new relationship You have brought in Christ. You are the center of the will of the Father, and all who obey the will of God can enjoy the blessing of the House of God. Because of You, I can have a father-son (daughter) relationship with God, and can have a spiritual relationship with brothers and sisters. Please give me the power of love, I am willing to be with the people of God’s family, of the same mind, to work and walk together until completion the journey toward heaven. Pray in the Name of Lord Jesus, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” (Mar 4:39-40)

Meditation one: Is your life facing a “furious squall came up” like a sinking boat? It is not the time for you to analyze the intensity and destructive power of the squall, but the very moment to turn to Jesus Christ and trust in Him. Only He is the Lord who is with you in the squall, and only He can die down the squall and give you true peace. For He is the Lord of all things in heaven and earth and all things obey Him.

Meditation two: Is the foundation of your faith firm? Only through the trials of squall, suffering, bashes, we can then realize the precious of faith. Faith is not a feeling, does not depend on self, does not rely on people, does not look into the environment, but solely trust in Lord. Seize the Word of the Lord and obey the Word of the Lord.

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for being my help in my time of need. I know that life in this world is not possible to preclude hardship, danger, failure, but I believe that since I am Your child, You will not leave me as orphans. With Your presence, what am I afraid of? With You by my side, I can even laugh at the squall. Lord, I admit that sometimes my faith is not adequate, please help me to increase my faith. Pray in the Name of Lord Jesus, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: Jesus said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” (Mar 5:19)

Meditation one: When you experienced the joy of the Lord’s salvation, do you want to share it with your families? It is often hard to preach the gospel to your families, but you can inspire them through the change of your life and let them see Christ in you. Try to seize every opportunity if you want to save the souls of your family members. To lead them to Christ is the most genuine response of loving Lord, and the most specific action of loving family members.

Meditation two: What is the greatest obstacle to block you from preaching gospel to relatives? It is because of lacking a good testimony! The testimony is not to boast your integrity, nor to let them envy the greatness and success of you as a Christian, but to witness that Jesus has lived in your heart, that your life expressed a miraculous change filled with overflowing joy and peaceful mind. Remember, when family members accept Lord not because of your eloquence, knowledge, and aptitude, but because of your daily prayers and life testimonies.

Prayer: Thank God, by Your grace I am what I am. In today’s generation it is not easy to make Christ the head of the household. I can’t do it on my own, but I believe nothing is too hard for You. Shine on me, and let my conduct, the thoughts in my heart, and every word that I say be blessed under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” (Mar 6:50)

Meditation one: What is the basis for a Christian who is not frightened when faced catastrophic disaster, horrific wind and waves? Because we are the children of God, God is our Abba Father. Will our Heavenly Father not take care of his own children? This is absolutely not true. We are not alone, we are the honored children of the God Most High. We can rest assured. One who finds strength in Him will never be ashamed. The question is, have you established a relationship with God as Father and son?

Meditation two: In the sea of our life, can one get away from any squall? It is not possible! But Christians can have the stillness in the middle of a storm when they encounter a squall. Because Jesus said: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Squalls are God’s trials, we can be fearful, but in fear we see hope. In fact, God often grinds our faith with a “squall”, and the squall tends to reveal an “inventory list” for us so that we know where we need to be sculpted. Through His molding, we can turn to God and make us more like Christ.

Prayer: Father the Almighty God, thank You for being my hope. And thank You for being the rock of my firmness. There are so many hardships in this world, but You said that we can rest assured because you have overcome the world. Ask You to guide me on how to walk the heavenly journey, not only to lean onto you, but also to trust in you only. Pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “ These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.” (Mar 7: 6-7)

Meditation one: Every Sunday, what is your mood when go to church? Is it with a joyful heart or with an impassive heart? Is it with a longing heart or as a weekly routine to be at church? Is it with a heart to come before God or to meet a friend? God is holy and we are not, so no one can see the Lord; thus we should worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness (Psalm 96:9). God is worthy of you and I to praise and to dedicate to.

Meditation two: Who is the kind of worshipers the God Heavenly Father seeks? It is the man who worships Him in the Spirit and in truth (John 4:23). God searches our hearts. What He seeks is not the facade of a worship, but the truthfulness of the worship. He does not want our bodies to be physically inside a church while our minds are wondering around. What is pleasing to Him is the honest worship. Today’s churches need to precaution on people with duplicity, because they substitute the truth of the Bible with world tradition or rules; to replace God’s will with people’s opinions; and to replace God’s revelation with men’s view. What God wants from us is not how much sacrifice we offer, but a broken and contrite heart, a heart that feels unworthy and repentant for sin.

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You for making me a person who worships You. Teach me not only to honor the Lord’s Day, but also to cherish every Sunday’s worship. Regardless of what I do, I want to live my daily life with a sincere heart to worship You. Pray in the Holy Name of the Lord Jesus, Amen.

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?” (Mar 8:36-37)

Meditation one: Where is your investment in your life? Is it focused on flesh or eternity? Is it in this world or in the Kingdom of Heaven? Is it worthy for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Never put the value of life in the wrong place. The world is meaningful only when people are still alive; but man cannot exchange the world for soul. Therefore soul is more precious than the world.

Meditation two: How do you make good use of your brief life? Closely follow the Lord! Seize the opportunity to let the limited life be used by the Lord. To follow the Lord is to “deny oneself “, to say “no” to self-centered mind, to say “yes” to God’s calling of “taking up the cross”. You may sacrifice and giveaway for the sake of Christ. This is worthy, for you will receive the precious life of eternity.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your calling. The cross You have given me is not heavier than Your grace; Though the cross is a narrow way, but a path to the eternal life. While giving away this world’s pleasure, I instead receive the abundant in eternity. Grant me wisdom, let me live in Your light every day, in Thy will. Pray in Your Name, Amen.

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.” (Mar 9:50)

Meditation one: While living in this world, a Christian should function like what? Not to “act as” salt, but “to be” salt. This is because of the faith that was accomplished in Christ. A “salt” must be a “salty salt” to be effective. Useful salt not only have the “antiseptic” effect on this corruptive world, but also have a function of “harmonizing” among the peoples.

Meditation two: How to make your daily life becomes a blessing of others? You need to be like a salt. Before giving out the taste, you dissolve and sacrifice yourself. Sacrifice yourself as a living sacrifice in order to illuminate others. It is only when our lives inside us are cleaned by salting like a fire, then we may indeed love one another and be in harmony in Christ.

Prayer: God Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me the function of living in this world. Please help me to learn how to live a godly life in this world, and not to chase the worldly vogue. Wherever I am, please use me. Let my life reflect the light, the love, the holiness, the peace, and the righteousness of Christ to make the world know You. Pray in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Jesus looked at him and loved him. ‘One thing you lack,’ he said. ‘Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.’” (Mar 10:21)

Meditation one: Does Jesus want us not to be wealthy financially? No, not true. Does He really want every believer to sell everything he/she has? No, not true either. Salvation cannot be merited by selling everything, and eternal life cannot be earned through good deeds. Nevertheless, the way to the Kingdom of Heaven should not be blocked by your wealth – block your heart from loving the Lord, prevent you from following the Lord, influence you from serving Him, and ruin you from having good relationship with God, people, and families.

Meditation two: Why should the wealthy young man sell everything and give to the poor? Because it is a true act of “love your neighbor as yourself “. Why does the Lord furthermore ask the young man to “follow me”? The reason is that is a very truthful action of loving the Lord. If Jesus calls you today, “Follow me!” are you joyfully willing to respond to the call of the Lord? Or is it like the young man who sadly went back to the world? It is a pity that he missed the door of eternal life, and his whole life would be remorseful.

Prayer: Dear God Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me the eternal life in Christ. Also thank You for Your calling, which allows me to have the privilege to walk the narrow path of the cross. Although the heavenly path is rugged, filled with confrontation and challenges, but I have decided to follow You; even no one accompanies me, I still want to follow You. For the sake of following You, I have decided to place the cross ahead, the world behind, and never turn back. Pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mar 11:24)

Meditation one: Is God really so generous? Does He say that He listens whatever we ask for in prayer? Yes, but it must be on the premise that you have reconciled with God and with people, then the prayer can naturally bring out power under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We believe that whether God will listen to a prayer is not depending upon our feeling about our faith, but a true trust that the prayer is in line with God’s good purpose and divine will.

Meditation two: Are you facing a major disaster that makes you stressed out and panic? Let put down your struggle and humbly come before Lord Jesus! Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them. (Heb 7:25).

Prayer: God Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise: “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (Jhn 15:7) Let me value my daily relationship with You; a relationship makes me always remain in You. Without You, I cannot do much. Ask You to increase my Faith. I am willing to follow Your will and live a life of watch and prayer. Pray in the precious Name of Lord Jesus, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” (Mar 12:27)

Meditation one: What does “believe in Lord Jesus” mean? It means we believe in His past deeds – He is the only begotten son of God, for our sins He was nailed on the cross, and resurrected from death on the third day. It also means we truly believe His deeds now – He is the God who was, and is, and is to come. It means we firmly trust His deeds in the future – He is the God Who will come again for us. The affirmation of faith has a great impact on one’s life regarding attitude, value, purpose and meaning. It can help you to face every single day without fear, so that your life is full of hope.

Meditation two: Since you truly believe that He is the resurrected Lord, the God of the living, then how is the relationship between you and God? Do you often have common sharing with Him in prayer? Do you come near to God by reading the Bible earnestly? Do you serve Him with a heart of gratitude? Do you devote yourself to trust in Him intently? Do you let Him be the supremacy in everything? Do you splendor Him in your daily life?

Prayer: God my Lord! I thank You for giving me the living hope. Because You are the eternity, from everlasting to everlasting, I am no longer afraid of any challenge. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, no harsh environment can knock down my faith in You. Guide me, wherever I go, that You will be exalted in my body. Pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.” (Mar 13:33)

Meditation one: Why is Jesus’ coming back again the greatest hope of Christians? It is because that hope is His very own promise. At that time the Kingdom of God will truly come as in heaven. Christians in the chaos of this era should be more alert, watch, and pray so that we will not fall into temptation. Have you ever thought that if Jesus were here today, would you be ready? Let us do more work and preach the Gospel before Christ comes again.

Meditate two: Since no one knows when Christ will come again, angels of the Heaven do not know, even the Holy Son Jesus does not know, except the God Heavenly Father knows. Then what should we do? Instead of wasting effort to study the time of Christ’s coming, whether there is any sign, any phenomenon, any prophecy, and so on, one should spends more time in the Word of God, and not men’s words. The responsibility of us is not to guess, but to prepare ourselves and be alert. The most urgent thing is to make sure that we are already in the Kingdom of God. Have you place the coming of Jesus in a significant status?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the promise of coming again, which is such a glorious hope. Grant me a strong and courageous heart, dare to face any spiritual wars. Help me not to fear, not to flee, not to retract, and not to compromise, until Your return. Only wish Your Kingdom, Your glory and Your will are indeed revealed to me and freely at work in me. Pray in the Name of Lord Jesus, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” (Mar 14:38)

Meditation one: On the journey of your faith, does it every so often come up with the “spirit is willing, but flesh is weak” situation? So many times that I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. How to win a victory over the work from Satan? Thank the Lord, who knows the struggling and powerlessness in you and me because He had been becoming flesh and facing the situations of you and me. He fully understands which armament to take to win the victory? Watch and pray, constantly pray, and never give up.

Meditation two: Why Satan is so outrageously causing destruction, producing terrors, and confusing people around everywhere? For it knows that Christ will come again, and that it does not have too many days left, like the psychosis before eternal demise. But Christians do not have to be panic, Jesus has said: “He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.” (Heb 7:25) He is with us until the very end of the age.

Prayer: Thank Heavenly Father, for Your love abides forever. I have to admit that often I have been weak and fall, cannot overcome my spleen, my nature, bad habit and obsession. Please forgive me and ask You to help me. I will discreetly fellowship with You every day to shape my life through meditation. Lord, I will do my part to pray for my children, families, fellowships, churches, countries, and the heads of power and authority. Pray in the Name of Lord Jesus, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mar 15:34)

Meditation one: When Jesus was nail on the cross, what made Him to cry out “Why. . .” in a loud voice? Was He complaining, or protesting, or scaring, or rebelling? No! It was because He carried all the sins of the people in the world, was forsaken by God at that moment, and became a curse for all of us (Gal 3:13). This gave Him a deep sense of desertion and separation in His mind. The only reason for Jesus’ suffering in such pain is that He is solely for the sake of the sins of this world. God loves the world, He wants all people to be saved and does not want anyone to perish.

Meditation two: In your life time have you ever asked Lord “why” speechlessly? If God exists, why does God hide His face from me? If God loves me, why does He not give ear unto my cry? God is faithful, and His love remains the same. Don’t waste time to question “why”. Turn back to God, for He said “whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” (John 6:37)

Pray: Thank God for Your salvation through Jesus Christ’s crucifying on the Cross. I have been given the grace because Jesus Christ’s unconditional obedience. Shine on me, let me sense the profundity and meaning of Your suffering for me, and live for You with a grateful heart every day. Pray in the Name of Lord Jesus, Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》: He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mar 16:15)

Meditation one: Do you know the purpose of being saved by grace? It is not only to become a Christian by calling, but also more importantly to be sent as a disciple of Christ. If you know the calling and sending are from the resurrected Lord, the King of Kings, you will gladly, willingly and joyfully accept His glorious trust and be honored as an ambassador (representative) for Christ.

Meditation two: Did you ever share the Gospel of Christ with your friends after you believed in the Lord? What is the major obstacle for you to evangelize? Are you afraid of not having the courage to “preach”? Concerned that there is no sound “testimony” to share? Worried incapable of expressing the Gospel clearly? Do not worry; gospel is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. We are only doing our part to preach the gospel, and the outcome is in God’s hands.

Prayer: God Heavenly Father, thank You for Your glorious entrust, so that I can be part of Your great commission. Ask You to teach me how to make the best use of my time, and to open my scope, to be sprightly to the needs of those around me. I also ask You to give me the courage to share the blessings of the Gospel with others. Pray in the victorious Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

《Today’s spiritual meditation》:   “Everyone therefore that hears these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock:  and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon the rock. “(Mat 7:24-25)

Meditation One: What is the foundation of your spiritual and daily life? Any protection from mankind is absolutely not dependable, and only God’s Words (Bible) is settled in heaven and never be moved. The Bible is not used to increase our knowledge, but to change our lives and enrich the meaning of our lives. Reading the Bible is not to read to people, but to let God speak to us. The Lord said, ” The one who listens to the Word of God and abides by it is truly blessed! But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. ” (Luke 11:28)

Meditation Two: Are you a “wise man” or a “foolish one”?  In the eyes of God, the difference is in whether you “listen then do” to the Words of God.   Those who hear and do the Words like wise men who build faith in the solid rock of Jesus Christ, and they can stand the test of this life and the life after.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for the foundation You established. Shape me to have an ear that listens to your Words and a heart that is willing to do Your will. Let me pant after Your Words every morning like a deer pants after the water brooks. I would like to be Your child of obedience. Pray in the precious name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
