Bible Reading: Matthew 7.

Insight:  “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” (Mat 7:24-25)

Insight one: Where does your life’s foundation build upon? Any assurance from human beings is absolutely not dependable. Only the word of God is settled in heaven and will never be shaken. The Bible is not used to increase our knowledge, but to change our souls and enrich our lives. The Bible is not to be read to people, but to let God speak to us. The Lord said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luk 11:28).

Insight two: Are you a “wise man or a “foolish man”? In God’s eyes, the difference is whether you will “hear and put into practice”. Those who hear the Words and put into practice are like a wise man who builds his faith on the rock of Jesus Christ, which can stand firmly against any test.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for setting the solid foundation. Please make me have my ears to listen to Your Word and a willing heart to follow Your will. Let me pant Your Word like the deer pants for streams of water. I would like to be an obedient child of You. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
