《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death” (Heb 6:1)
Meditation one: Once a Christians has been saved, will spiritual life grow automatically? It will not! You must actively and continuously pursue to grow. First, you have to drive away from the wrong deeds, the mind of the flesh, and hypocrisy. Without leaving these stumbling blocks, it is impossible to grow. It is our responsibility to further, advance, and grow spiritually. We need to have the will of determination and execution in order to reach the status of spiritual maturity.
Meditation two: What is the biggest difference between a child and an adult? Children are naive and lack of comprehension. They can only understand simple words. An infant can’t distinguish between good and evil. Without the comprehension of evil, naturally, the infant should not be deemed as wrong. But when you grow up, you have to be mentally commensurate with your age. Paul exhorted us and said, “Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.” (1Co 14:20) Spiritual life must not halt around the knowledge of Bible; instead, in terms of thinking, attitude, deeds, ministries, and interpersonal relationship, one needs to show the growth and lives out mature characteristics in all things.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I praise You because You are the God full of grace and mercy. Thank You for Your words, so that my faith has roots and foundation in Your truth. Help me, I am willing to seek You, come near to You, and love You every day. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus, Amen!
