《Today’s spiritual meditation》:  “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” (Jas 1:19-20 )

Meditation one: What is the attitude that Christians should have when they are confronted with argument? They should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. The anger of a person is usually an expression of an abnormal mood of that person; when one is angry, the judgment of things is easily biased, and the things done in anger are often too extreme. If you do not rely on the power of the Lord to calm your anger, you will be giving an opportunity to the devil. Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. (Pro 13:3)

Meditation two: What is the appropriate attitude that a Christian should have when listening to a preaching? One should listen with an attitude of hungering and thirsting for righteousness. Do not purposely try to criticize and judge; even if the preaching you heard does not suit your taste, do not quick to refute or quench the Spirit. A humble person discerns the truth and guidance of the Lord in all things, and when listening to a preaching, knows to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. (Jas 4:6)

Prayer: God our Father, thank You for making me have two ears and a mouth, so that I can quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. God, please give me wisdom, so I will know how to listen, how to speak, and how to respond. Let everything I do is for building each other up and glorifying Your name. I pray in the precious name of the Lord Jesus, Amen!
