《Today’s spiritual meditation》: “You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone.” (Jas 2:24)
Meditation one: What is the major difference between Christianity and other religions that also claim “believe in god”? We confess with our mouths and believe firmly that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, the life, and that He is the only mediator between God and man. Only this kind of faith can bring salvation and be justified as righteousness. The faith is not simply a stated or verbal acknowledgement; it also naturally reveals God’s goodness through one’s daily life.
Meditation two: Brothers and sisters, is your faith alive or dead? It depends entirely on whether you fully believe in the Lord and determine to act accordingly. The difference between a living faith and a dead faith is whether there is deeds resulted from obedience to God. Maybe you have been baptized, but that doesn’t prove you are saved. What really proves that you are saved is the life you live after believing in the Lord. Faith is made perfect through deeds. True faith will live out a genuine life.
Prayer: God heavenly Father, thank You for your mercy and wonderful grace. May the Holy Spirit lives in my heart, fills me and guides me, so the words I hear is consistent with the the things I do. My faith is also consistent with my deeds. Ask You to teach me to live a life that is commensurate with my faith every day. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
