《New Year meditation 2》:  “Your strength will equal your days.” (Deu 33:25)

Meditation one: Why does God bless His children and not say: “Your days will equal your strength”, instead say: “Your strength will equal your days”? God knows that human’s strength is limited, and God does not want us to adopt the world’s naive perception and means that “man can always conquer the nature”. Christians are sanctified from the world by God. We belong to God and are disciples of Jesus Christ. We must “live out” the life by trusting God in order to “receive” the strength from God.

Meditation two: While sailing into the New Year, do you have assurance of the future? No one even knows how tomorrow will be. But for those who trust in God can rest assured, because God has clearly promised: “Your strength will equal your days”. This is a powerful reminder, inspiration, and comfort to us. The Lord Jesus wants us not to worry about tomorrow, and asks us to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness first, and He will handle everything else including the future. We simply trust and obey, walk in the will of the Lord, the Lord will be with us, and His companionship is the strength for us to move forward.

Prayer: God Abba Father, thank You because You are the source of our strength. I really don’t know what will happen this year, but I will take hold of Your promise of being my companion. I trust what You have said: “My grace is sufficient for you” (2Co 12:9). Please strengthen my faith, let me face the future bravely, and live out Your victory every day. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
