Bible Reading: Matthew 21.

Insight:  “My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.” (Mat 21:13)

Insight one: What is the saddest situation of a church today? It is when a church only appears as a magnificent building outside, a modern facility inside, a solemn adoration service with gorgeous worship content, but the God they worshiped is not among them. Do you know why? Human excitement has expelled God away, or insincere features have turned God’s house into a misty place, which not only hampers worship, but also drags people from focusing on worshiping God.

Insight two: Why was the Lord Jesus angry? It is because He saw people trampled the temple that God values and turned “my house” into a club house, a trading square, a market plaza, and a social place. How could a house of prayer concentrate on prayer in the midst of hawking and chatting? How can people worship God together in a temple filled with people’s clatter?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for teaching me how to value worship. Please remind me always to pray for having sincere worships in the church. Please also remind me from time to time to keep my daily life a holy life by abiding Your words, and make me a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. Let me worship You not to wait until the Lord’s Day, but to live a life of worshiping You every day. I pray in the precious name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
